Kensington Recreation Committee Minutes

October 13, 2004

Approved November 10, 2004

Meeting began a t 7:00 at the Town Hall

In attendance: Nancy Roffman, Kathy Cook, John Clark, Lili Spinosa, Dan Provost, Mary Jane Solomon

Guests: Mike Motherway

Nancy reported she and Denise have been examining the deed to the park land.

Also report that small shed at park needs some repairs.

Current salt shed behind Sawyer Field has a small office. This could possibly be used in future by the Rec.

Mike Motherway provided update on 211 South Rd. States that agreement and deed will hopefully be signed by/at the next selectmen’s meeting. Language has been much improved and more flexible. States town can use the property for town needs (recycling?) if properly managed. Lewis Family Trust also states interest in continuing conversation about Town Park improvements. Warrant article voted on in March, 2004 does not expire as there are no funds attached.

John Clark reports he has secured space for Kensington residents at Bradford ski area for group lessons. Will need a minimum of 20 registrants. Much discussion over providing bus transportation. Due to cost and logistics of supervision, committee decided not to offer bus at this time. Flyers will go out through K.E.S. Problem with how to reach other residents. Info will continue to be posted on web-site and in Community News as long as that source is available. Lorraine will also contact Exeter News.

Meeting adjourned. Next meeting November 10.

Respectfully submitted,

Mary Jane Solomon
