The minutes from 5/13/10 were not approved due to only one voting recreation member present. |

Dawn made a motion to expend $165.00 for the signage to be ordered from Sign of the Times for the skateboard park. |
|
|
Former Recreation Member Recognition – Donna updated the committee that the plaque has been ordered, tree has been planted. Donna will present the plaque and a few words of thanks to this member once a date is determined. |

Accounting Form – The new accounting form that was created by Dawn Perry and Kathy Felch was distributed to all. This form will be utilized for-r deposits, check requests and reimbursements. This document is 2-sided with all necessary corresponding recreation accounts on the reverse side. These forms are also available in Kathy’s office. |

New Members – Jodi Lefebvre, Amy Sanderson and Leslie Del Sesto have all expressed interest in joining the recreation committee and will be on the Agenda for the BoS to appoint them at the June 7th meeting. |

Meeting Location/Time – Our new meeting location will be at the Kensington Congregation Church on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. Due to the Kensington Town Festival planning we will also be having a meeting on June 23rd and June 7th. These meetings should be no longer than 1 hour. |

Website – Dawn printed out a copy of what is currently posted on the town website under Recreation Committee the information was discussed and outdated items will be removed and other content will be updated. The Purpose and Goals section was discussed and will be reviewed at out next meeting. |

Kick off to Summer Concert: Dawn updated the committee that the Rock Daddy’s have been booked for June 24th and will play from 6:15-9:00 at Sawyer Park. If we have inclement weather a permit is pending to move the venue to the Kensington Elementary Gymnasium. |

Kensington Town Festival Ø 5K Road Race – Stefanie Johnstone gave the update as follows; The time of the race is 6:00pm, the insurance certificate is completed, the timing company has been signed up, the beer tent is in the works (pending sponsoring establishment with a liquor license), Amy D. and Jodi L are on task with drinks and prizes, Amy S completed the registration form. Immediately following the 5K there will be a kid’s fun run also. |

Ø Band - Dawn is currently working with a few different bands. |

Ø Fireworks - Dawn contacted Telstar Fireworks and has reserved the date. The contract has been mailed and Dawn will get all necessary information to the BoS, Chief LeBlanc and Mr. Lewis. |

Ø Bake-off – Dawn will reach out to Grace Beason to see what her interest level is in coordinating this event this year. |

Ø Jumpy Houses – Donna updated the committee that 2 Jumpy Houses from Exeter Rent All had been secured for the date. |

Ø Dunk Tank – Stefanie Johnstone is trying to connect with Stratham FD to use their dunk tank for the event. If secured, Dawn would reach out to the BoS, KPD, KFD, the planning board and KES staff. |

Ø Craft – The Girl Scouts have volunteered to coordinate the craft tables. The craft will need to be for girls & boys. |

Ø Food - Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be provided, townspeople will be asked to supply side dishes and desserts for a buffet and bring their own drinks. |

Ø Transportation - Donna will contact Rosencrantz and ask them to volunteer their services again shuttling guests from the parking lots off-site to Sawyer Park |
