Kensington Recreation Committee Minutes

May 6, 2010

Meeting began at 6:40pm at the Library

In attendance: Kay Christie Cardoni, Cengiz Satir, Marilyn Niles

Guest: Bob Cole, Donna Carter, Mike Del Sesto

This meeting was called to discuss the installation of the skateboard park equipment which is currently stored in the bunker.

Skateboard Park – Cengiz stated he received at quote of $2,900 to install the skateboard equipment from O’Brian & Sons. Mike Del Sesto stated he would like install the skateboard equipment. He stated as a professional contractor he has the technical knowledge to install this equipment. And that he would get volunteers and oversee this project; the only cost would be that of concrete. He stated the install may take 2 -3 days and would be done sometime at the end of May or the first of June.

Donna made a motion, but was not an official member of the Recreation Committee so Cengiz restated the motion to have Mike Del Sesto in charge of and to oversee the installation of the skateboard equipment at Sawyer Park. The motion was seconded and was passed.

Cengiz will email the layout to Mike shortly. Cengiz gave the skateboard file with installation instructions to Mike. Also mentioned - a sign is needed for the skateboard park with rules for the skateboarders.

Meeting adjourned at 6:55pm.
