Kensington Recreation Committee Minutes

Meeting began at 7 pm at the Town Hall

In attendance: Kay Christie Cardoni, Cengiz Satir, Donna Carter, Kathy Cook, Mike Motherway

A meeting was called to discuss the Summer Camp and the Kensington Town Festival and to vote on issues relating to the Recreation Revolver Account.

With respect to the summer camp, Kathy Cook suggested that the 4 round picnic tables stored in the bunker be moved up to the concession stand during summer camp. People could then use those tables instead of the ones in the pavilion (used by the summer camp).

With respect to the concession stand meals for campers, the meal menu with payment in a sealed envelope would be brought to the concession stand before or on the first day of camp.

The summer camp will have signs posted that from 8am-3:30pm the pavilion and multi-purpose field will be closed to the public. (There may be ‘Reserve’ signs in bunker.)

The Kensington Town Festival is scheduled for July 18^th, the discussion centered on having an old fashioned family day. Kay Christie Cardoni made a motion to authorize payment of expenses, not to exceed $2,200 for the Kensington Town Festival from the Recreation Revolver.  The motion was seconded and the Recreation Committee voted to pass the motion.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.
