Planning Board Minutes

April 20, 2010

Approved May 18, 2010

 

In Attendance:  M. Schwotzer, Chairman, Joan Whitney, Kate Mignone Stefanie Johnstone, Selectmen’s Representative and Dylan Smith, Rockingham Planning Commission Circuit Rider.  Meeting called to order at 7:34 pm.  Bob Solomon joined the Board at 7:36 pm, Theresa Wojcukiewicz at 7:41 pm and Peter Merrill at 7:44 pm.

 

Approval of March 16, 2010 minutes – Joan Whitney moved to approve the minutes of March 16, 2010, seconded by Kate Mignone with all in favor. 

 

Election of Officers:  Chairman and Vice-Chairman – Peter Merrill moved to nominate M. Schwotzer for Chairman and Theresa Wojcukiewicz for Vice-Chairman, seconded by Bob Solomon with all in favor.

 

NEW BUSINESS:  None

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Master Plan – Dylan Smith reported that Rockingham Planning Commission can do the vision and land use chapters, required by law, for an approximate cost of $9,500.  He also presented information regarding several programs from UNH, including surveys and visioning, and explained that Michele Gagne, Training and Planning Coordinator for the UNH Coop Extension, will be willing to meet with the Board for questions.  It was agreed to invite her for the next meeting on May 18.

 

Discussion of Zoning Ordinance and Land Use Regulations – To discuss at the next meeting: 

·         Steep slope overlay district

·         Do not disturb areas

·         Seabrook pipeline

                                   

Innovative planning – Development phasing

 

OTHER BUSINESS:

Rockingham Planning Commission – Request for additional appointment – Joan Whitney suggested checking with the Conservation Commission as it could be helpful if one member was on the RPC.  Theresa Wojcukiewicz also expressed an interest.
