Planning Board Minutes

July 1, 2004 Meeting

In Attendance:  Steve Wilson, Chair, Bob Solomon, Joan Whitney, Michael Schwotzer, alt., and Jill Robinson, Rockingham Planning Commission Circuit Rider

 

The Meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm.

 

Approval of June 3, 2004 minutes – M. Schwotzer moved to approve the minutes of June 3, 2004 as presented, seconded by Joan Whitney with three in favor and one abstaining.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Felch Gravel Pit inspection report – Beals Associates has provided a report stating all was basically satisfactory at this time.

 

Kuegel Gravel Pit inspection report - Beals Associates has provided a report stating all was basically satisfactory at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

Scenic Roads - continued discussion – Options for preserving the scenic aspect of the roads were reviewed and discussed.  Attorney Charles Tucker has suggested adding restraints or restrictions to the subdivision ordinances with regard to tree cutting and removal of stone walls.  Jill Robinson said she is working on one for North Hampton that includes a tree ordinance and the requirement to hire an arborist or forester at the developer’s expense, including physically marking trees that are not to be cut.  She will provide a copy to the Board.

 

Any other business properly brought before the board.

 

M. Schwotzer motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 p.m., seconded by Joan Whitney with all in favor.
