Kensington Conservation Commission                

Minutes of June 8, 2010

Members in attendance: Heather Douglas, Sydnee Goddard, Rob Garneau

 

1.       Call to order 7:40.

2.       Minutes approved.

3.       Motion to expend $80,000 from the Kensington Conservation Commission fund to cover the purchase and closing costs of buying 15 acres of land from John Sargent for the purpose of putting said land in a conservation easement was unanimously approved.

4.       Motion to pay from the Kensington Conservation Commission fund for the survey (no more than $4800), environmental assessment (no more than $1100) and attorney’s fees associated with the negotiation to purchase 15 acres of John Sargent’s land, contingent upon Sargent signing the purchase and sale agreement; said amount to be subtracted from the purchase price at closing.  Unanimously approved.   

5.       Paul Kimball has asked for permission to spread loam on the gravel pit, make a perimeter road and to cut trees.  NRCS will conduct a site visit and review the conservation easement management plan.  No authorizations have been made to date.
