Kensington Conservation Commission              

Minutes of August 11, 2009

Members in attendance: Rob Garneau, Heather Douglas, Sydnee Goddard, Joan Skewes

1. Call to order 7:40.

2. Minutes approved.

3. Dave Viale of the Southeast Land Trust presented the information about the Sargent land to their board.  Southeast Land Trust is moving forward with a site walk on August 19.

4. New owners have purchased 2 Hoosac Road and the DES has granted an extension for submittal of the initial monitoring report to October 15, 2009.

5. An article in the Exeter News-Letter states that the Exeter Conservation Commission is interested in moving forward with a conservation easement on the Ryder property.  Group is waiting for next steps from Mike Speltz.

6. The IPM meeting in July was informative and had about 30 attendees.  Five panelists from various backgrounds all agreed that IPM was the best practice for managing ticks.

7. Sydnee and Joan plan to attend the Planning Board meeting on August 18 at 7:30 to discuss the inventory of conservation lands and trails.
