Minutes- KCC meeting 12/12/07

Members in attendance: Harry Bodwell, Sydnee Goddard, and Heather Douglas.

3. Mail

• Reviewed letter from DES regarding the Buxton's DES application.  The application refers to a proposed driveway plan.  Sydnee said she already sent KCC's response to the plan to DES.
• Received ERLAC invoice for annual dues.  Will discuss and vote on at next meeting.  Sydnee will check on which fund the dues would come from.

4. Cole update given.

• Sydnee described prehearing conference call regarding appeal
• Sydnee announced that KCC will meet with selectmen on Dec 17th to approve expenditure of funds from KCC conservation fund.

5. Discussed proposed Kimball easement.  Discussed public access to the conservation area and whether outbuildings that fall on the easement land could remain.  All agreed that public access is essential because informational mailings indicated it would be allowed.  All agreed that the outbuildings should be moved off the future easement land. 

6. Charles Hodges Conservation Area discussed.

• Decided to set a date for a nature walk in February
• Sydnee showed the map that is on the town's web site. 

7.  Discussed status of the property owned by SAU 16 (near junction of 150 and 108).  The SAU is expected to apply for funding to conserve the property through the Wetland Reserve Program managed by NRCS.
