KCC Minutes, Sept 11, 2007

Members in attendance: Rob Garneau, Heather Douglas, Sydnee Goddard

1. Call to order 8:03 pm

2. Minutes approved.

3. Sept. 29^th PTO Fall festival plans discussed.  Heather will set up table, make displays, and look for donations to raffle from two local farms, producers.  Sydnee will continue to seek donations.  Sydnee will ask Joan about manning the table from 10-noon.  Heather will cover the table from noon-4pm. 

4.  Charles Hodges Conservation Area trails discussed.

• Sydnee made a motion to “Pay Olofson Landworks $2,272 for stepping stones work out of Highfields Farms Trust.”  Motion seconded and approved unanimously.
• Trail work day discussed.   Time is 9am on Sunday October 14^th and meeting place is parking area on Stumpfield Road.  Decided that it would be good to mark the three new trails with blazes on trees and further clear 2 of the new trails (Off Frenchs Lane and the Loop off the main trail).  The third trail off Moulton Ridge needs a water crossing so work on that is less pressing.

5. Kimball easement progress discussed.  Survey is at the appraisers.  Waiting to hear final appraisal.  

6. Cole easement discussed.  Sydnee shared that an appeal letter has been written for a reconsider the airstrip for inclusion in the easement.

7. Discussed status of SAU 16/ball fields land.  Sydnee believes the lot is under agreement with a proposal for 10 acres of conservation land and a single house was presented to the zoning board.

8.  Discussed the KCC budget.  Decided to request an 10% due to the fact that the budget was spent down by mid year and cost have increased.
