Kensington Conservation Commission

Minutes of April 10, 2007

Members in attendance: Rob Garneau, Joan Skewes, Sydnee Goddard, Harry Bodwell

1. Minutes approved.

2. Nomination of Heather Douglas to become member of KCC, made, seconded, and approved unanimously.

3.  Discussed latest on Kimball Farm Easement work.

            a. Motion to pay $1,000 deposit for Kimball Farm purchase and sales agreement made, seconded, and approved.

            b. Agreed to write a letter soliciting private donations for the easement purchase.

            c. Set next Save Kimball Farm meeting for April 24, 7:30 pm

            d. Heather agreed to write article for next Community News.

4.  Cole update.  Expecting to close before end of April.

5.  Discussed future trail work on Hodges Area and Meeting House Hill conservation areas.  Decided to the complete the following:

• post remaining no hunting signs, usage signs, and entrance region signs at Hodges
• identify possible new trail through Sawyer property from Hodges
• post trail markers on Hodges
• replace sign removed on Meeting House Hill property
• submit receipts for reimbursement from trails grant
• meet April 22 to walk potential new trail

6. Motion to pay New Hampshire Association of Conservation Commissions dues of $200.00 from Conservation Commission administrative funds.   Seconded and approved unanimously.
