approved.
- Chris
and Jill Rider of Ipswich
Mass. share that they have a
55 acres property at 142
Powder Mill Road under a purchase and sales
agreement and hope to put approximately 38 acres in a conservation
easement. Asked if town of Kensington interested
in purchasing development rights.
Shared the results of the appraisal on the 38 acres. KCC members expressed interest in
pursing this project given that it abuts town conservation land, in near another
parcel being considered for conservation, and is across the street from
property just conserved by Exeter. John will send a note to Marry Currier
and get her information to the Riders.
- Discussed
signs on Charles Hodges Conservation Area.
- Joan
shared that she spoke to Paul Kimball about using McManus and Nault for
appraisal.
- John
shared that he has signed the appraisal agreement for Cole appraisal which
is expected to be done by the end of January.
- John
passed out copies of maps prepared by Rockingham Land Trust showing
conservation land in Kensington.
- Sydnee
shared draft language for SAU warrant article. She will continue to contact district
conservation commissioners about it.
- Discussed
the merits of a bond issue for March ballot. KCC is working on 3 properties for
conservation and KCC funds will not cover them. Discussed a $500,000 bond.
