Kensington Conservation Commission

Minutes of July 12, 2005

Members in attendance: Joan Skewes, John Skewes, Sydnee Goddard

1. Call to Order 7:37pm

2. Minutes of May approved. No June meeting.

3. Joan indicated that checks have been reissued from tree harvest. Joan will send the checks off to SPNF and Charles Hodges Trust and inform both parties of this.

4. Discussed pending Boudreau easement. Barbara's step son has been notified of pending transaction and waiting to hear from him. Discussed budget for easement and who would pay for the additional transaction costs. Determined that Sydnee will contact Barbara and negotiate over these costs.

5. Have received grant to make improvements to Charles Hodges Conservation Area trails. Need to improve trails, make new trails, create parking area off Stumpfield Road, build kiosk and 2 signs, and build water crossings. Discussed how to proceed. Scheduled August 20 as tentative date to walk the property and plan trail and bridge work. Sydnee will contact others to join the walk. Joan and Sydnee will contact sign makers and contact individuals to help with bridges. John will check prices of lumber.
