3. Discussed letter to SPNF about money from tree harvest.  Decided that KCC should not ask for all of the funds.  Joan indicated that the check from the forester was voided because there should have been two separate checks written, one to SPNF and one to the Charles Hodges Trust, each for 50% of money from harvest.

4. Paul Kimball shared that the application to the Federal Grassland Protection Program is in progress.  He is looking to get funding to conserve approximately 30 acres of wet meadow.   Rockingham Appraisers doing an appraisal.  Paul asked if town would be interested in holding and paying for an easement if development value is low.  He is concerned with limitation imposed by feds.  KCC member expressed preference for the funding to come from feds if possible, because KCC funds limited.

5. Discussed progress on Barbara Boudreau's pending easement.  Joan suggested we have town counsel look at Barbara's late husband's will to get legal opinion on what is needed to satisfy language in the will.  All feel the need to have Barbara's step son's written approval of appraised value before proceeding.

6. Joan gave update on biothon on the Parker's conservation land.  June 11th Sydnee will join a team that will try to identify as many organisms on the land as possible in 4 hours.  It is a fund raiser for Rockingham land Trust which holds the easement.

7. Rob shared letter he wrote to Friends of Kensington thanking them for their donation to Kensington's Conservation Fund.

8. Agreed to meet on Saturday at 8:30am to post usage signs at entrances to Meeting House Hill Conservation Area.

9. Adjourn 9:10pm
