Kensington Conservation Commission Minutes

Meeting of June 8, 2004

Members in attendance: John and Joan Skewes, Sydnee Goddard, Harry Bodwell, Rob Garneau

1. Call to order 7:37 p.m.

2. Minutes approved.

3.Update on Barbara Boudreau land on Osgood Road. Members agreed that they are interested in seeing her property put under a conservation easement. It borders the meeting house hill property which is already protected and Kensington Elementary School grounds. Sydnee will call Phil Auger to check on how KCC can help Barbara pay for an appraisal without jeopardizing future tax benefits for Barbara. Sydnee will also obtain a copy of an existing easement for Barbara to look over and begin to determine what her own easement will look like. Barbara will contact an appraiser. Tentatively scheduled another meeting July 1, 7:30pm at the town library to meet with Barbara and Mary Currier and/or Theresa Walker to discuss how to proceed.

4. Sydnee indicated that continuing to contact and work with several land owners on Drinkwater road and North Road to discuss easements.

5. Need to make final $4000 payment to Ladd for survey of Smith, Rezendez, and Sawyer properties on Moulton Ridge Road.

6. Need to invite Mary Currier to July 1st meeting to discuss Kimball property as well.

7. No news on Meeting House Hill survey.

8. Charlie Moreno hasn't had appropriate weather to begin marking trees on Hodges Property.

9. Haven't heard whether appraisal for SAU 16 property has been completed.

10. Rob was contacted by rec committee on their desire to dredge pond on town park land.
